‘Do not test the patience of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and rather focus on your responsibility over the tragedy of Mina,’ Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warned Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir on Sunday.
Iran's deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs made the remarks in reaction to Jubeir saying that 'Saudi Arabia hopes Iran will use the financial proceeds it secures after sanctions are lifted after its nuclear deal with world powers to develop its economy rather than for aggressive policies.’
Denouncing Saudi claims as baseless, the Iranian diplomat advised the KSA regime to stop supporting terrorists in Syria, Iraq and Yemen instead of playing a blame game.
Pointing that Saudis are manipulating tiny countries like Bahrain in line with their false policies, Amir-Abdollahian restated that ‘Iran has always been seeking normal relations with Saudi Arabia,’ lamenting that, ‘it is not clear who defines the policies in Riyadh.’
